Prairie West Oil and Gas completes drilling on Twinning Project

Preliminary data shows unexpected additional zones available for completion

CALGARY, Alberta Canada/August 1st, 2012 -- Today Prairie West Oil & Gas Ltd is pleased to announce that it has completed the drilling at Twinning Alberta Canada. Total depth was hit late on Sunday July 29, 2012 and the well is currently being cased for completions. Prairie West had originally targeted a primary zone deep in the well formation but had also targeted some secondary formations as a way to mitigate overall risk. Electronic logs have been pulled and the company is now going over the preliminary data. At this time Prairie West is happy to announce a completion of this well will be scheduled in the near future.

Vice President Anthony Sarvucci: "I would first like to thank the dedicated crew of Ground Force Drilling for an outstanding job overcoming obstacles and completing the task at hand. Due to rain and some hard drilling, the overall length of the drill was longer than expected however preliminary data suggest unexpected additional zones within the well are available to the company for completion. The next step is to do an addition comprehensive wire line analysis to gather more data with the goal of optimizing the return on this capital investment.
