Mexican Silver Mines Ltd. Appoints Jose Sayo Garcia as VP Exploration and Brings Additional Strength to its Geological Team

Mexican Silver Mines Ltd. (“Mexican Silver”) (TSXV: MSM; Frankfurt WKN: A0MSLE) is pleased to announce the addition of four senior geologists to the Company’s geological team. Each of these individuals have different strengths that will cumulate to Mexican Silver’s goal of defining economic resources. Additionally, each have had direct experience in building reserve estimates, bringing historical mines back into production and evaluating new projects that have a short timeline to production.

Jose Sayo Garcia

Mexican Silver has appointed Mr. Jose Sayo Garcia, licensed geologist, as Vice President of Exploration responsible for management of the Company’s exploration programs.

Mr. Garcia has 29 years of continuous, comprehensive involvement in exploration and mining, focused on both underground and surface operations. His proven expertise includes designing and implementing programs for prospect testing and mineralized target delineation, as well as project and mine valuation using both manual and computer-assisted mineral resource and ore reserve estimation.

In his years of experience, Mr. Garcia has developed geological models, devised exploration strategies, and has established and implemented cost effective operational controls during the exploration, development and extraction phases of mining. As demonstrated by accomplishments in the mineral districts of Indonesia, Canada, Mongolia and the Philippines, Mr. Garcia has utilized efficient management information and feedback systems.

Over the years Mr. Garcia has been extensively involved with the Lepanto Consolidated group of mining companies in the Philippines. He was the major contributor for the discovery and subsequent mining of the Lepanto’s Victoria and Teresa Gold Mines and the delineation of the Far Southeast Porphyry gold-copper deposit. Mr. Garcia was also responsible for the discovery of the Bayugo-Kalaya-an prospect of Manila Mining Corp. For over seven years, he worked with Newmont Mining Corp. on various projects in the Philippines, Peru and Indonesia and led the team that discovered and developed the Riska and Effendi gold deposits (now operated by Avocet mining Plc) in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. Additionally, he worked with East Asia Minerals Corporation as Country Manager for their copper and uranium exploration in Mongolia. Most recently, Mr. Garcia was involved with Rolling Rock Resources Corp. for project geology requirements of the Monument Bay Gold in Greenstone project and the pursuance of target delineation work for the Domain Gold Project. Both projects are sited in Manitoba, Canada.

G. Tarcilo Medina Araujo

Mr. Tarcilo Medina has 35 years of experience in the mining industry, with successful results in the search for new deposits. His expertise is in disseminated intrusive deposits, structure veins in sedimentary and intrusive rock formations, and metasomatic contact bodies in metamorphic rocks. He is also experienced in technical analysis in the development of mineral exploration and exploitation through computer applications at regional and local level, in both open pit and underground mining. Additionally, Mr. Medina is skilled in identifying opportunities for operational and functional improvement, such as the development of technical training programs for contractors.

Mr. Medina has worked as a Mining Geologist and General Supervisor for Minas San Luis S.A. de C.V.’s La Libertad Mine in Mexico and as General Supervisor of Mining, Geology and Planning for Open Pit Mining with Cía Minera Mexicana de Avino S.A. de C.V. Prior to this, he worked in both Mexico and Peru specializing in open pit mining. Mr. Medina is a Geological Engineer from the Universidad Nacional San Agustín de Arequipa, Peru. He is a Mexican National and lives in Monterrey, Mexico.

Joaquin Alberto Amaro Diaz de Leon

Mr. Joaquin Alberto Amaro Diaz de Leo has joined Mexican Silver from Hochschild Mining PLC – Minera Hochschild Mexico S.A. de C.V. Mr. Amaro was the Chief Project Geologist for Hochschild Mining involved in gold exploration in the North México Region in the states of Durango, Chihuahua, and San Luis Potosí, Mexico. He was also Project Geologist involved in geological exploration, geological and geotechnical core logging, exploration drilling programs, field quality control, survey and drilling logistic for offset locations, QA/QC Control, database management and expert in the geology of old mines. Additionally, he was responsible for modeling and characterization of the vertical and horizontal distribution population of geochemical results, and the geophysical interpreter for numerous projects in Zacatecas, Guanajuato, and Jalisco (MHM). Mr. Amaro was involved in over 300 prospect visits in the North México Region, Chihuahua, Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosí, Durango, Guanajuato and Jalisco (MHM). Prior to working with Hochschild Mining, he served as a geologist for the Mexican Geological Survey (SGM) in San Luis Potosi.

Mr. Amaro is a Geological Engineer from the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, SLP.

Edgar H. Ramirez Rodriguez

Before joining Mexican Silver, Mr. Edgar H. Ramirez Rodriguez worked with Hochschild Mining PLC – Minera Hochschild Mexico SA DE CV as a Geological Engineer. Mr. Ramirez held the position of Senior Geologist focused on Metalogenetics focusing on the Central and Northern parts of Mexico. Metalogenetics to Hochschild Mining, Mr. Ramirez worked with the Mexican Geological Survey (SGM)
