Silver Fields Resources Applies for Saskatchewan Coal Permits

Silver Fields Resources Inc. (“Silver Fields” or “the Company”) announces that the Company has made application for coal permits covering an area of interest in East-Central Saskatchewan, in accordance with the Coal Disposition Act of that Province. The time frame for granting of the permits is dependent upon regulatory requirements to process the applications.

Chris England, President & CEO of Silver Fields commented, “With the recent discovery of coal deposits in Saskatchewan, companies must consider diversifying their property portfolios. Silver Fields has previously been focusing primarily on gold and silver exploration, and now has added a new dimension, that of exploring for new energy sources.”

The Company has applied for permits in an area 200 miles east of Saskatoon in the vicinity of the Goldsource Mines Inc. discovery, north of the Town of Hudson Bay Saskatchewan. Management will keep Silver Fields’ shareholders aware of the status of the coal permits, which have been submitted to the offices of Saskatchewan Energy and Resources, located in Regina Saskatchewan.

Statements about the Company’s future expectations and all other statements in this press release other than historical facts are “forward looking statements”. The Company intends that such forward-looking statements be subject to the safe harbours created thereby. Since these statements involve risks and uncertainties and are subject to change at any time.
