Temex to Drill Croxall Property, West Timmins Gold District

NEWS RELEASE NR15-2009

TSX Venture Exchange:TME, Frankfurt Exchange:TQ1

TORONTO, ONTARIO: Temex Resources Corp. (TSX Venture:TME, Frankfurt:TQ1) ("Temex" or "the Company") announces that an initial 2000 metre diamond drilling program is set to begin on the newly acquired Croxall Gold Property (the "Property", news release June 25,2009) located in the West Timmins Gold District. This initial drilling campaign will test several high priority targets identified by the Company. The Property is located due east and along strike of the Thorne Property currently being explored by West Timmins Mining Inc. ("West Timmins Mining") and southeast of the Thunder Creek Property containing the Porphyry and Rusk zones being explored by West Timmins Mining and Lake Shore Gold Corp. ("Lake Shore").

The Property consists of 60 mining claim units and covers approximately 2.5 kilometres of favourable stratigraphy similar to the West Timmins Mining and Lake Shore properties. The Porcupine-Destor Fault Zone and an adjacent band of Timiskaming conglomerates, both of which have a strong spatial association with the major gold deposits in the 65 million ounce Timmins gold camp and elsewhere, cross the extreme southern portion of the Property.

Highlights:

-Drilling set to begin on several high priority targets

-Numerous "red altered" porphyry sills with associated gold mineralization similar to Rusk and Porphyry zones of Lake Shore and West Timmins Mining occur on the northern portion of Property

-Widespread zones of intense carbonate-sericite alteration and pyrite-arsenopyrite mineralization with associated anomalous gold mineralization occur in the favourable stratigraphy

-Broad corridor containing strong folding, zones of strong shearing, sericite-iron carbonate alteration, sulphides and anomalous gold mineralization north of the Porcupine-Destor Fault Zone

The outstanding exploration potential of the West Timmins Gold District continues to rapidly unfold with the recent discoveries of significant gold mineralization at the Rusk and Porphyry zones by Lake Shore and West Timmins Mining, and by West Timmins Mining on the Golden River North Zone (11.15 g/t gold over 7.30 metres and 13.64 g/t gold over 8.20 metres). These discoveries underscore the significant exploration potential in the area and demonstrate that gold mineralization occurs in a variety of geological settings and host rocks.

The Company has reviewed the available historical data, including historic drill core and completed a digital compilation on the Croxall Property. The northern portion of the Property hosts the majority of the "red altered" porphyries which occur within strong shear/alteration zones. These porphyries, host to gold occurrences of up to 2.88 g/t gold over 0.60 metres and 2.03 g/t gold over 0.91 metres, may be related to other known porphyries further to the west at the West Timmins Mining and Lake Shore properties. Recent drill results reported by these companies, highlighted by an interval of 12.75 g/t gold over 83.40 metres, demonstrate the newly recognized significant exploration potential of these porphyries.

Temex has also identified several east-west trending structural and sericite-carbonate alteration zones which host anomalous gold values across the Property. Strong shearing and alteration is evident in all rock types with locally significant amounts of sulphide mineralization and quartz veining and anomalous gold values up to 1.59 g/t gold over 1.5 metres. The strongly altered zones are known to be the principal host for gold mineralization in the Golden River Trend on the West Timmins Mining property located to the west of the Croxall Property.
