Terra Ventures Inc.: Roughrider Continues to Grow with Massive Uranium Mineralization and Off-Scale Radioactivity

Vancouver, April 13, 2010 - Terra Ventures Inc. (TSX-V: TAS) is pleased to provide an update on the Midwest Northeast Uranium property in which Terra owns a 10% production carried interest. In a press release dated April 13, 2010 Hathor reported:

“Hathor Exploration Limited (HAT: TSX-V) announces the completion of the 2010 winter drill program on the Roughrider uranium deposit at its Midwest Northeast property in northern Saskatchewan. The program achieved its two key objectives, highlighted by:

• Discovery of new uranium mineralization and off-scale radioactivity, which both in-fill and extend the initial resource model for the Roughrider uranium deposit.
• Confirmation and expansion of the 2009 discovery at Roughrider East, some 200 m away.

The Company is extremely pleased with production from the winter drill program. A total of 77 holes for 26,928 metres were completed. Of those, 47 drill holes (14,978 m) were completed on the Roughrider uranium deposit, and 30 holes (11,951 m) on Roughrider East. Figure 1 shows the 400 m strike length covering the Roughrider uranium deposit and Roughrider East. The Roughrider uranium deposit remains open and two drills have been left on site for the upcoming summer drill program. Key results from Areas 1 and 4 include:

1. Discovery of massive uranium mineralization and off-scale radioactivity within the lower grade shell of the Initial Resource Model.
For example: Hole MWNE-10-197a; 16.5 m (248.7 – 265.2 m) of nearly continuous elevated radioactivity, including 5.8 m of >9999 cps (off-scale radioactivity).

2. Discovery of massive uranium mineralization and off-scale radioactivity adjacent to and outside of the Initial Resource Model.
For example: Hole MWNE-10-200; 22.9 m (224.5 – 247.4 m) of nearly continuous elevated radioactivity, including 8.1 m of >9999 cps (off-scale radioactivity).

3. Confirmation of high grade uranium mineralization inferred to be down-dip of the high grade shell within the Initial Resource Model.
For example: Hole MWNE-10-188B; 8.0 m (262.3 – 270.3 m) of continuous elevated radioactivity, including 4.4 m of >9999 cps (off-scale radioactivity).

As described in the previous news release, results from the Roughrider uranium deposit have been organized into four separate areas, or blocks, as shown in Figure 2. Preliminary results were released for Area 3 on March 29, 2010. This release covers Areas 1 and 4. Results from the final block in the Roughrider uranium deposit, Area 2, will be released shortly. Preliminary results were released on March 5, 2010, for two of six drill fences completed at Roughrider East; preliminary results from the final drill hole fences will be made available following the releases for the Roughrider uranium deposit itself.. This will complete the release of all preliminary data for the extensive 2010 winter drill program.

A total of 19 drill holes (5735 m) were completed in areas 1 and 4, as shown in Figure 2. The drill holes in Areas 1 and 4 are from the western and eastern portions of the Roughrider uranium deposit, as it is currently delineated. In Area 1, the holes span grid lines 45W to 5E. In Area 4, the holes span grid lines 75E to 145E. Both areas include parts of both the high grade shell (>5% uranium oxide) and the lower grade mineralization shell (<5% uranium oxide), as defined by the Initial NI43-101 compliant resource model ("Initial Resource Model") completed by Scott Wilson Roscoe Postle Associates Inc. (SWRPA) in December of last year. The report was based on all drilling prior to the summer of 2009. (SEDAR and the Company's website at www.hathor.ca).

The Roughrider uranium deposit remains open. More drilling is still required to fully delineate the high grade uranium mineralization within the deposit as it is currently outlined. The deposit remains open down-dip to the northwest and to the north. Further, along-strike continuity to the east for some 200 metres towards the Roughrider East discovery is yet to be fully tested.

A capsule description of the radioactivity results for each of the 19 holes in Areas 1 and 4 are in Table 1 (Area 1) and Table 2 (Area 4) provided at www.hathor.ca. Complete scintillometer data sets for the 19 holes are in Table 3 (Area1) and Table 4 (Area 4).

Summary of drill holes for Area 1:

Line 0. Drill holes 10-197A and 10-200A were designed to test the inferred low grade mineralization down dip from 09-123. Drill hole 10-197A successfully intersected the intended target. However, the radioactivity was much stronger than that modelled in the Initial Resource Model. The hole intersected numerous intervals of off-scale radioactivity that included visible massive and worm-rock type uranium mineralization. Hole 10-200A did not intersect anomalous radioactivity at the intended target. In addition to testing the deeper intended target, both holes successfully intersected the shallower zone of basement-hosted mineralization, located approximately 10 m below the unconformity that was first identified in drill hole 09-126, but was excluded from the Initial Resource Model based on lack of drilling in this zone. This mineralized zone in 10-200A includes an 8.1 m interval, except for 0.1 m of off-scale radioactivity with visible semi-massive to massive uranium mineralization.

Line 10W. Drill holes 10-188B and 10-190, were designed to test the mineralization inferred to be down-dip from drill hole 09-123 and along strike from 09-116. Drill hole 10-188B successfully intersected anomalous radioactivity including wide zones of visible semi-massive to massive uranium mineralization. Drill hole 10-190 successfully intersected anomalous radioactivity further down dip to 10-188B. In addition to successfully intersecting the target zones, both of these drill holes intersected the new shallower zone of basement-hosted mineralization, first intersected in hole 09-126, located approximated 7 m below the unconformity. Based on these two intersections, a vertical drill hole (10-193) was completed from the same collar set up. This successfully intersected a thick sequence of continuous anomalous radioactivity (213.6 – 222.8 m), including off-scale radioactivity with visible semi-massive uranium mineralization. This new zone of mineralization was over-shot by previous drilling.

Line 20W. Holes 10-178 and 10-186 were both designed to test the new shallow zone of mineralization located 6-10 m below the unconformity. Both of these drill holes successfully intersected anomalous radioactivity including 1.1m of continuous off-scale radioactivity. Hole 10-175 was planned as an infill drill hole between the mineralized hole 09-129 and the un-mineralized hole 09-49. This infill hole intersected several thin zones of anomalous radioactivity within a larger zone of alteration.

Line 30W. Hole 10-176, although collared on 20W from the same location as 10-178, due to excessive drill swing, the target zone of this drill hole is located on 30W. The drill hole intersected 2 intervals, each 2.3 m in thickness, of anomalous radioactivity within a wider zone of alteration.

Line 40W. Holes 10-180, 10-181, 10-183, 10-184 were drilled to test for a possible southwestern extension of the Roughrider uranium deposit. Based on prior drilling information, drill holes 10-180 and 10-181 were considered to have a high probably of overshooting the expected strike extension. These two drill holes were completed to aid geological/geotechnical modelling of the architecture of the Archean Midwest Dome. Drill holes 10-180, 10-181 and 10-183 did not intersect any anomalous radioactivity (>500 cps). Drill hole 10-184 intersected variable amounts, in terms of width and strength, of anomalous radioactivity over 25 m. Further drilling is required to the southwest of this area to investigate the possibility of a new zone of mineralization, such as that recently discovered in drill hole 10-200A

Summary of drill holes for Area 4:

Line 90E. Drill hole 10-201 was designed to test for down-dip continuation of high grade mineralization intersected in 09-088, while this drill hole did intersect thin intervals of weak anomalous radioactivity, no off-scale radioactivity was intersected. Drill hole 10-206, although collared on line 100E, due to drill swing intersected the target depth in line 90E. This drill hole was designed to test for mineralization outside the current extents of the Main Zone of mineralization, as well as thin Footwall Zones. It intersected thin zones of weak anomalous radioactivity up-dip from both the Main Zone and one of the Footwall Zones.

Line 100E: Drill hole 10-208 was designed to test for possible extensions of mineralization 20-30m laterally from the extents of the modelled mineralization on line 100E. This drill hole did not intersect any anomalous activity. It did intersect variably altered package of rocks comprising the lower sandstone and the upper basement.

Line 110E. Drill holes 10-199 and 10-218 were designed to test for lateral extensions of the mineralization on Line 110E. Both drill holes only intersected thin intervals of weak anomalous radioactivity.

Line 130E. Drill hole 10-202 were designed to test the mineralization identified in 09-096 and 09-104. This drill hole successfully intersected a zone of anomalous radioactivity, including 0.1 m of >9999 cps. In addition to this zone of radioactivity, it additionally intersected another shallower zone of radioactivity at and just below the unconformity.

Natural gamma emission radiation is measured in counts per second (cps) using an Exploranium GR-110 hand-held gamma-ray scintillometer. The reader is cautioned that scintillometer readings are not directly or uniformly related to uranium grades of the rock sample measured, and should be used only as a preliminary indication of the presence of radioactive materials. All intersections are down-hole, core-length intervals and true thickness of mineralization is yet to be determined.
