TFS Corporation ranked as Industry Leader for its Ethical and Sustainable practises

TFS Corporation (TFS), the world’s largest plantation grower of Indian Sandalwood (Santalum Album) has been ranked by Oekom Research as ‘Prime’. This places TFS among the world’s best companies in its industry for its ethical and sustainable practices.

Oekom Research has awarded TFS a ‘Prime Corporate Responsibility’ rating, pre-qualifying the company as an attractive proposition for ethical and sustainable investors, many of whom see this rating as a pre-requisite for investment in such ethical ‘supply chain’ sectors as the growing, harvesting and sale of sandalwood oil, by-products and timber.

In its report, Oekom said TFS was awarded its status “due to its strong performance in sustainability issues.”

TFS have forward supply contracts with Albert Vieille (France) and Lush Cosmetics (UK) for the supply of Santalum Album oil with commencement of supply anticipated for 2011/12 when initial harvesting will begin.
