ClearVue secures first residential installation project in Australia

HIGHLIGHTS

-          Order and deposit received for ClearVue’s first residential installation into a new luxury residence in Griffith, ACT

-          Project will use eight (8) ClearVue photovoltaic skylights of 0.78m x 1.4m and other non-solar windows and doors

-          Project will be the first residential installation for ClearVue and will serve as a reference site for future residential and skylight projects and applications locally and globally

17 October 2022: Smart building materials company ClearVue Technologies Limited (ASX:CPV OTC:CVUEF) (“ClearVue” or the  Company”) is pleased to announce that it has received its first order and deposit for the installation of its patented solar energy skylight windows into a luxury residence in the suburb of Griffith in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) – the Company’s first residential installation of the ClearVue product anywhere in the world.

The purchase order provides for installation of eight (8) fixed ClearVue solar PV powered skylights of 1.4m x 0.78m along with supply of additional standard non-solar double-glazed doors and windows and a glass pool enclosure deploying third party tinted (non-vision) solar glazing. The total order value for the glazing for this residential project is approximately AUD $160,000.

The luxury home is being built in the ACT by leading apartment developer Custom Apartments in conjunction with specialist builders Elm Building Group in a project designed by award winning architects, Hugh Gordon Architect (www.hughgordon.com.au).

Construction on the project has commenced and is anticipated to be completed by the end of February 2023.

ClearVue has previously deployed its solar glass products into various projects across the Asia-Pacific region including a park in Sydney, a shopping centre in Perth, greenhouses in Japan and Perth, as well as various trials in multiple geographies exploring the energy efficiency and power performance aspects of the ClearVue product.

This new project will be the Company’s first foray into the residential housing market which is a particularly attractive market for the Company in terms of skylights and roof windows – a market that is very responsive and increasingly active, with high volumes of a commoditised product -  unlike high-rise construction façade projects which have a number of steps before product specification and construction ultimately commences. The skylight market is a large market which was expected to grow to around USD$5.5 billion by 2030, with a compound annualised growth rate (CAGR) of 15.3%[i] from 2021 to 2030.

ClearVue has been taking active steps to promote the ClearVue PV glazing product in the context of skylights and roof windows and is actively engaged in discussions with potential licensees in several jurisdictions for the right to manufacture and distribute the ClearVue product for this specific application.

Custom Apartments’ management has said:

“We at Custom Apartments strive to deliver the best customer experience in terms of liveability, leading technology and sustainability in all of our projects.  We are delighted to be using ClearVue’s remarkable window technology in this residential project and are looking forward to being able to specify the product into upcoming residential apartment projects that will benefit from the ClearVue products’ energy efficiency and energy generation aspects.”

ClearVue Head of Investor Relations, Earle Harper added:

“This sale represents the first use of the ClearVue product into a luxury residential project where the ClearVue product is being used in a skylighting application – importantly, it’s a simpler sale for the Company to support its commercialisation journey to sales of commercial building façade sales.

The sale whilst a sizeable order for a single residence project more importantly demonstrates the flexibility of the ClearVue PV glazing product across market categories and segments, and will provide yet another reference site for the Company, including in this case, to be used to demonstrate the skylight and residential market applicability for the product.”

ClearVue looks forward to updating the market on completion of the Griffith, ACT residential project in coming months.
