HelioDynamics installs three solar-powered aircon units in the US and Greece

Contributing to early revenue growth for international sustainable energy group, EnergyMixx

Switzerland, 03 November 2008 – EnergyMixx AG (XETRA: EM2, WKN: AOMSTN, ISIN: CH0030908856) announces that its wholly owned subsidiary, HelioDynamics Ltd, has begun installation of three solar concentrating air conditioning units.

HelioDynamics, based near Cambridge, UK, spent 8 years on research, development and IP protection before the commercial launch of its breakthrough range of advanced multi-purpose solar energy products in 2007. The proprietary parabolic trough solar concentrating technologies utilise state-of-the-art materials to achieve high efficiencies at low lifetime costs in all regions that receive high solar irradiation. The new products provide a substantial contribution to CO2 and energy cost reductions.

The solar concentrating air conditioning units will be installed by the end of 2008 at Albuquerque International Sunport (airport) in New Mexico, a major Californian Utility and the Demokritos research centre in Greece, with commissioning and full commercial operation expected during Q1 2009. These projects involve integrating the Group’s range of solar concentrators with air conditioning systems in each host building to supply high-temperature fluid, of circa 180 degrees Celsius, to operate absorption chillers that provide cooling without the need for an electricity supply.

EnergyMixx completed the acquisition of HelioDynamics Ltd on 16 June 2008.
