North Atlantic Resources Ltd. Changes Name to Legend Gold Corp. and has Achieved a Ranking in the 2011 TSX Venture 50
Toronto, ON – February 17, 2011 – North Atlantic Resources Ltd. (the “Company” or “North Atlantic”) is pleased to announce that at a Special Meeting of Shareholders held on February 16, 2011 the Shareholders passed a resolution to amend the Company’s Articles to change the name of the Company to Legend Gold Corp. Effective today, North Atlantic Resources Ltd.will be named Legend Gold Corp “Legend Gold”.
“We are pleased to announce that we successfully change the name of North Atlantic Resources Ltd. to Legend Gold Corp. This milestone change reflects our view that Legend Gold Corp. has attained a critical point in its development. Our fully funded drill projects at Tiekoumala and Lakanfla will now proceed under the Legend Gold banner. This change demonstrates our belief that Legend Gold has achieved positive momentum for the development of its projects. This change also provides a fresh identity that coincides with the legend of West Africa’s rich history of gold discovery and development,” noted Scott Waldie, President and CEO of Legend Gold.
North Atlantic Resources is also honoured to be recognised by being named to the 2011 TSX Venture 50, a ranking of strong performing companies listed on TSX Venture Exchange on February 15, 2011. The 2011 TSX Venture 50 companies were chosen based on the following criteria, with equal weighting assigned to each: share price appreciation, trading volume, market capitalization growth and analyst coverage. This elite group of companies is comprised of ten companies from each of five sectors; Clean Technology, Mining, Oil & Gas, Diversified Industries, and Technology & Life Sciences.
