Safari Minerals moves forward in acquiring additional mining licenses for gold in the Kono area within Sierra Leone.

Massive step forward in application process complete.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada /May 23, 2012 - Safari Minerals is today pleased to announce that it has concluded discussions with high level government officials regarding the acquisition of additional gold mining licenses in the Kono area within Sierra Leone. By any measure, these talks were highly successful with Safari Mineral's application receiving the blessing of the local Chiefdom in Konno which is a major hurdle for any company looking to receive a gold license in the area.

Safari Minerals President Andrew "Diamond Drew" Lovett: " It requires many years of planning and patients to cultivate very strong relationships with the local chiefdom's. It is through these efforts that Safari Minerals is now in the fantastic position of capitalizing of gaining a significant foothold in this new and productive gold mining area. Current daily production in this area is exceeding more than 10 kilograms per day. In terms of growth, I firmly believe that with proper commercial equipment the current rate has the potential to more than triple in volume. It is an exciting time for Safari and I look forward to more good news in the near future."

The next step for Safari Minerals is to finalize the licensing agreement. Once the new license is in place, Safari intends to first establish a Gold buying office in close proximity to its major mining concerns. Gold in the region is purchased in carats with the current local price being a converted $1,380 per ounce. Detailed forecasting shows that Safari Minerals should net a profit of approximately $200 per ounce which at today's prices is equal to a 15% profit margin.

The company will update the public via news release as it progresses through this exciting opportunity.
