Sinchao Metals Corp.: CORPORATE UPDATE

The Board of Directors of Sinchao Metals Corp. (TSX.V – SMZ) (the “Company” or “Sinchao”) is pleased to provide highlights of the annual general meeting that took place in Vancouver, BC, on September 30, 2008.

The Board of Directors was elected and is composed of the following members:

Mr. Andrew Gourlay, Mr. John Huguet, Mr. Bryan Morris, (non independent directors), Mr. Nick DeMare, Mr. Arni Johannson and Mr. Ernesto Maurer (independent directors).

The Directors re-appointed Mr. Andrew Gourlay as President, Mr. John Huguet as Chairman, and CEO, Mr. Bryan Morris as CFO, and Ms. Rocio Echegaray as Corporate Secretary.

In addition, the Board of Directors confirmed Mr. Luis Vela, Vice President Exploration, Peru as an Officer of the Company.

Other business of the annual general meeting included approval of the Company’s 2008 Stock Option Plan. The Stock Option Plan is subject to regulatory approval. All agenda items passed unanimously.

Following the annual shareholders meeting, the Board of Directors met to elect officers and appoint the following committees of the Board:

 Bryan Morris

Strategic Planning Committee:

 John Huguet, Chairman
 Andrew Gourlay
 Ernesto Maurer

Corporate Governance and Compensation Committee:
