Trivello Energy Receives Approval for Lucy License Extension

Calgary, AB. Trivello Energy Corp. (“Trivello” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that the B.C. Oil and Gas Commission ("OGC") approved an application for an extension to test the Muskwa shale gas potential on its Lucy Property located in the Horn River region of northern British Columbia.

Based on previously announced lab results from the well cuttings and the previously released prospective resource report, Trivello and the Operator for the Lucy Property will be moving forward with plans for a work program during the upcoming drilling season. The objective will be to further test and validate the overall reserves in the area by conducting a vertical frac treatment program. Upon receiving favorable results, the well will be tied in to a nearby pipeline. This test and development program could be one of the first Horn River Basin Projects in this area to be put on commercial production and would begin to validate the overall reserves in the area.

The Lucy property should become one of Trivello's major assets for production or disposition in the near term.
