Greenvironment enters into a cooperation with energy group Dalkia Polska S.A.
- Collaboration with the biggest energy service provider in Poland
- Dalkia controls more than 25 percent of the Polish district heating market
- 3,000 MW base load potential in Poland that needs to be replaced by 2020

Berlin, 26th October 2011 - Greenvironment Plc (WKN: A1JLT1 / Symbol: GIV1) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a cooperation with Dalkia Polska S.A. based in Warschaw, Poland.

Dalkia Polska S.A. is owned by IFM - Industry Funds Management (40 percent) and Dalkia International SA (60 percent) that is controlled by both Veolia Environnement SA and Electricité de France SA (EDF). Dalkia has been doing business in Poland for over 14 years, managing the production and local distribution of energy in almost forty cities, including Lodz and Poznan, respectively the second and fifth-largest in the country.

Dalkia Polska and Greenvironment are willing to establish combined heat and power plants (CHP) based on Capstone microturbines. Dalkia will provide its own sales network, service team and operations facilities to market, operate and service Greenvironment CHP's in Poland. Greenvironment will deliver the technology and supports on specification as well as commissioning.

The contract confirms that both parties will first establish a pilot site in order to explore the best technological and economical opportunities. The initial target projects are natural gas installations of up to 1 MW electrical installed power. Larger installations for industrial usage could be targeted at a later stage.

“Greenvironment who is our exclusive distributor in Poland has again proven its ability to move fast and to develop its markets by addressing the right partners like Dalkia Polska. Capstone looks forward to working with Greenvironment and Dalkia to develop this market whose potential has yet to be unlocked for Capstone”, said Jim Crouse, Capstone’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Sebastian Hampel, Managing Director of Greenvironment Poland sp. z o.o., said: “In Poland exists a 3,000 MW base load potential that needs to be replaced with distributed energy supply solutions by 2020 and Dalkia is Poland’s number 1 heating market operator. We feel honored that we are joining forces with the biggest energy service company in Poland and look forward to a fruitful business relationship.”

Peter Dorner, Chief Operating Officer of Greenvironment Plc, comments: “Thanks to the efforts of our Polish team within the last year, we were able to enter into this important cooperation agreement with Dalkia Polska. It is a big step forward for us in order to address the Polish market needs.”
