Greenvironment secures major order in Poland for 1 MW plant
- 1 MW Greenvironment microturbine plant to be installed on a biogas site in Klepsk (Poland)
- Microturbine delivery scheduled for December 2010 - total plant commissioning in second quarter 2011
- Sales pipeline now approximately 20 million Euro
Berlin, 2nd December 2010 – Greenvironment plc has today closed a deal with POL-AQUA S.A. (www.pol-aqua.com.pl), the general contractor for the construction of a biogas plant with an 1 MW microturbine in the area of Klepsk (Poland). Greenvironment will deliver a CR1000 microturbine combined heat and power plant including a technical container comprising of a compressor station, a control cabinet and a SCADA system for remote monitoring.
The construction company for the biogas fermentation reactors will be the South-Germany based company Biogas Hochreiter GmbH (www.biogas-hochreiter.de). The local engineering and project management will be done by ITEO Sp. z o.o. (www.iteo-technologie.eu), a Polish engineering company specialized in renewable energy solutions with a strong focus on biogas.
"This first major order with Pol-Aqua, a leading Polish construction company, marks a milestone in our constant efforts to introduce the microturbine technology on the Polish market. Furthermore it shows that also the Polish project financing environment for renewable energy production has significantly improved," says COO Peter Dorner.
Mr Michal Gorka, Director of Marketing and Finance of Pol-Aqua, adds the following: "With this deal Pol-Aqua enters the fast growing Polish market for biogas. We believe that Greenvironment is a very promising partner for similar future projects in biogas and other areas of the distributed energy market."
