Solarmag reaches agreement with Luxembourg based renewable energy fund VILICUS
Solarmag PLC and VILICUS Real Energy S.A have reached an agreement to combine their experience, knowledge and network in the fields of the Renewable Energy development, financing, construction and operation. VILICUS’ main objective is to invest, through its VILICUS Real Energy Fund SICAV – SIF S.A., into renewable energy projects (solar and wind) that are located in Europe. The cooperation will give Solarmag PLC access to the dedicated and professional team at VILICUS for future funding needs for investments and growth of Solarmag PLC.
As an initial investment Solarmag PLC will buy 15,000 shares in the VILICUS fund for €1,5 million (€100 per share) and VILICUS will buy 150 million shares in Solarmag PLC for €1,5 million to strengthen this cooperation further. Solarmag PLC will issue 150 million new shares at one euro cent per share for the total amount of €1,5 million.
The cooperation between Solarmag PLC and VILICUS was introduced by Capem Capital, an investment management company focused on capital raising, private equity and on alternative investment markets worldwide. Capem Capital will also assist Solarmag PLC with further funding and business opportunities.
Solarmag PLC CEO & Chairman Lars- Erik Magnusson said:
